Hey, I’m Adam.
I make the part of the wedding everyone expects to politely sit through become the part they’re quoting at the bar three hours later.
I’m fascinated by people. The tiny habits, questionable first impressions, accidental traditions and completely ordinary moments that somehow become the foundations of a life together. That’s the good stuff. That’s where your ceremony lives.
After more than 500 weddings, I know a great ceremony isn’t created by filling your names into a template and reading it slowly into a microphone. It comes from knowing your story properly, and knowing how to tell it to a room full of people.
I pay attention to the energy. If your uncle gives me something from the second row, I’ll give it straight back. If someone starts crying earlier than expected, I’ve noticed. If you’re nervous, I’ll slow everything down without making a big deal about it. I know where the laughs belong, when to let a moment breathe and when it’s time to get you married before everyone melts in the Hunter Valley sun.
The result is something relaxed, funny, heartfelt and unmistakably yours. Not a performance happening in front of your guests, but a moment they feel part of.
I’m a Newcastle based Celebrant and MC who spends plenty of time marrying excellent humans across Pokolbin, Lovedale, Broke and the wider Hunter Valley. If you want a ceremony that feels alive, sounds like you and starts the day with exactly the right energy, I reckon we’ll get along very well.
Hunter Valley weddings just hit different.
Maybe it’s the drive in, when the suburbs disappear and everyone collectively decides they’re on holiday. Maybe it’s the vines, the big skies or the dangerous confidence that comes with having seventeen wineries nearby.
Whatever it is, Hunter Valley weddings arrive with their own energy.
They can be polished without feeling precious, spectacular without becoming stiff and emotional without taking themselves too seriously. One minute you’re standing in front of an incredible view exchanging vows; the next, someone’s handing you a glass of sparkling and directing you towards a paddock for photos.
I spend a lot of time working at wedding venues across Pokolbin, Lovedale, Broke and the wider Hunter Valley. I know how enthusiastically sound travels across an open vineyard and why guests arriving on a bus should never be trusted to move with urgency.
Most importantly, I know how to create a ceremony that belongs in the setting without being swallowed by it, relaxed, personal and full of enough energy to send everyone into the reception ready to celebrate properly.
My approach is to create something that feels relaxed, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable for your guests, whether they’ve just arrived from Sydney or they’ve been at the winery since 10am.

How much does a Hunter Valley wedding celebrant cost?

Do you travel around the Hunter Valley?

Do we have to write vows? Do you help with this?
Quick answer- No and Yes. Long Answer - By law in Australia, both parties have a legal vow that they must say during the ceremony. This is it, all you've got to do legally. Some couples choose to write some personalised vows for one another, which is awesome. And others, decide not to because it's not their thing and that's cool too. How far ahead should we book our Hunter Valley wedding celebrant?
If you’re getting married on a Saturday during peak wedding season, I’d recommend booking your Hunter Valley wedding celebrant around 12–18 months ahead. Popular dates, especially during autumn and spring have a habit of disappearing frighteningly quickly. I regularly receive enquiries for dates I’m already booked for, which results in me writing far too many emails beginning with, “Ahh, I’m so sorry…” That said, there’s no harm in checking if your wedding is coming up sooner. Dates move, plans change and occasionally the wedding gods leave the exact right gap in my calendar. The moment you’ve locked in your venue and date, send me an enquiry. Future-you will feel extremely organised and future-me won’t have to send another sad email.
